About Us
Our Mission is to protect the environment while improving the businesses and lives of those with whom we interact.
The National Association of Eco-Friendly Salons & Spas™ is the first association in the United States designed to build a community of environmentally friendly, socially responsible salon and spa owners.
Its purpose is to be the source of information, presented in an organized format to assist those who are concerned about the impact their salon or spa has on the environment. The NAEFSS Sustainability Certifications provide standards for build-out, operations and maintenance for eco-friendly salons and spa.

Our Guiding Beliefs and Values
Environmental Responsibility is not an option. Scientists from around the world have been warning us of the drastic impact global warming will take on the earth for over 30 years. They warned of extreme weather changes such as heat waves, floods, and droughts. They cautioned us that many ecosystems will be in danger of extinction. We have all seen or experienced dramatic environmental changes, and know it's time to step up.
Education, Dedication and New Technology go hand in hand.We believe that education is the key to making small changes, dedication is the key to keep making changes that make a difference and new technology will help us sustain a profitable business complimentary to improving the earth's eco-system.
We greatly value shared ideas and creativity. Everywhere you look salon and spa owners are sharing their knowledge and creativity through mentoring, speaking engagements and trade magazine interviews. We all bring our own unique talents to the industry and sharing brings us the best gratification.
About Us–really refers to YOU, our members. Our goal is for the community to connect with each other, like-minded business owners, sharing thoughts, ideas and success stories. We have started something great, our members make it awe-inspiring!
